The Hellenic Μuay Federation since 1998* is the sole W.M.F. official body for amateur Muay Thai in Greece.
In the late 1980’s, the Thai government recognized Muay Thai as an international sport.
In order to regulate the sport a single organization was commissioned and created, maintaining uniformity of the sport under the same rules, regulations, and safety measures and get international recognition for Muay Thai.
The primary objectives were to promote Muay Thai as a cultural art form, self-defense, and ring sport as well as to procure Amateur Muay Thai with first federation in Thailand I.A.M.T.F.(President General Tienchai Sirisumpan) and after with W.M.F.(2004)President Chaisit Shinawatra and today President Akachai Chantosa LtGen Akachai Chantosa inclusion into Southeast Asian Games (Sea Games), Asian Games!

สหพันธ์มวยเฮเลนิกก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปีพ.ศ. 2541 เป็นหน่วยงานทางการแต่เพียงแห่งเดียวของสหพันธ์มวยไทยในประเทศกรีซ
ในช่วงตอนปลายปีพ.ศ 2523 รัฐบาลไทยได้ยอมรับว่ามวยไทยเป็นกีฬาระดับนานาชาติ
เพื่อที่จะควบคุมการกีฬาองค์กรเดียวได้รับหน้าที่และสร้างขึ้นเพื่อรักษาความเท่าเทียมกันของกีฬาภายใต้กฎระเบียบและมาตรการด้านความปลอดภัยเดียวกันและได้รับการยอมรับในระดับสากลสำหรับมวยไทย
วัตถุประสงค์หลักคือการส่งเสริมมวยไทยเป็นรูปแบบศิลปะวัฒนธรรมการป้องกันตัวเองและการแข่งขันบนสังเวียนรวมถึงการจัดหามวยไทยสมัครเล่นกับสหพันธ์แห่งแรกในประเทศไทย โดยมี พลเอกเทียนชัย ศิริสัมพันธ์ ประธานของสหพันธ์มวยไทบสากลสมัครเล่น IAMTF (International Federation of Muaythai Amateur) ตามมาด้วยประธานของสหพันธ์มวยไทยโลก (WMF) ที่ดำรงตำแหน่งปีพ.ศ. 2547 พลเอกชัยสิทธิ์ ชินวัตร อดีตผู้บัญชาการทหารสูงสุด และคนปัจจุบันคือพลเอกเอกชัย จันโทสา ให้รวมมวยไทยเข้าไปในการแข่งขันกีฬาซีเกมส์ กีฬาเอเชียน เกมส์

Thai goverment needs to understand that we all in the world promote their culture and the heritage of Muay Thai.
The Hellenic Olympic Committee(https://www.olympic.org/greece) sent an official letter at the Hellenic Ministry of culture and sport that there are 3 active world federations that promote thai.
The Ministry of culture and sports didn't take into consideration the letter and recognized in Greece the modified federation of karate with the new name ''Panhellenic Muay Thai Federation'',official member of ifma 2017-2018.
Obviously, justice has been called to act immediately.
We have sent press release to all the Thai mass media. Ifma is not the monopoly of the cultural heritage of Muay Thai.
Please, the Thai Government will make it clear that it will extend its support to the Muaythai Towards Olympic Recognition campaign, with union WMF -IFMA-IMTF and not partition.
I hope that you will all support the efforts of the members who promote the sport of MuayThai.

The World MuayThai Federation (WMF) and International MuayThai federation (IMTF) are under the patronage of the NOCT, and is a perfect opportunity for athletes, officials and spectators from all walks of life to come together in the name of sport, peace and harmony.
Thailand is proud as over 100 countries are unified under the banner of Muay Thai with WMF & IMTF from 1995.
MuayThai has now attained worldwide acceptance as an important martial art and sport, with training camps and competitions in various regions of the world.
Through the combined efforts of the World MuayThai Federation (WMF), the International Amateur MuayThai Federation (IMTF) and all concerned national bodies, Muaythai has been recognized by NOCT of Thailand.
The Official Body for National Sport!
The historical and cultural aspects of the sport have always been and always will be an important component of the art and sport.

คณะกรรมการโอลิมปิกเฮเลนิก (https://www.olympic.org/greece) ได้ส่งจดหมายอย่างเป็นทางการไปยังกระทรวงวัฒนธรรมและกีฬาแห่งเฮเลนิก (กรีซ) ว่ามีสหพันธ์ระดับโลก 3 สถาบันที่ส่งเสริมมวยไทย
แต่ทว่ากระทรวงวัฒนธรรมและกีฬาแห่งเฮเลนิก (กรีซ)ไม่ได้คำนึงถึงข้อความในจดหมาย แต่กลับไปพิจารณาสหพันธ์คาราเต้แห่งเฮเลนิกที่ได้มีการดัดแปลงชื่อเป็น "สหพันธ์มวยไทยแห่งเฮเลนิก Panhellenic Muay Thai Federation" ซึ่งเป็นสมาชิกอย่างเป็นทางการของสหพันธ์มวยไทยสมัครเล่นสากล (IFMA) ในปีพ.ศ. 2560 -2561.
เห็นได้ชัดว่าความยุติธรรมถูกเรียกให้ทำหน้าที่ได้ทันที
เราได้ส่งข่าวประชาสัมพันธ์ให้กับสื่อมวลชนไทยทุกคนให้ทราบว่า IFMA ไม่ใช่การผูกขาดมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมของมวยไทย
รัฐบาลไทยจะให้ความชัดเจนว่าจะสนับสนุนการรณรงค์มวยไทยสู่ความเป็นโอลิมปิกสากล โดยความร่วมมือของ สหพันธ์มวยไทยโลก (WMF) สหพันธ์มวยไทยสมัครเล่นสากล (IFMA)และ สหพันธ์มวยไทยสากล (IMTF) ไม่ใช่แต่เพียงองค์กรแห่งใดแห่งหนึ่ง
ผมหวังว่าทุกท่านจะสนับสนุนความพยายามของสมาชิกที่ส่งเสริมกีฬามวยไทย
ฉันหวังว่าทุกคนจะสนับสนุนในความความพยายาม
มวยไทยเป็นมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมของประเทศไทย
มวยไทยไม่ใช่การผูกขาดของ สหพันธ์มวยไทยสมัครเล่นสากล (IFMA)
สหพันธ์มวยไทยโลก (WMF) และสหพันธ์มวยไทยสากล (IMTF) อยู่ภายใต้การอุปถัมภ์ของ NOCT และเป็นโอกาสที่ดีสำหรับนักกีฬาเจ้าหน้าที่และผู้ชมจากทุกสาขาวิชาที่จะมารวมตัวกันในชื่อกีฬาความสงบและความสามัคคี .
ประเทศไทยมีความภาคภูมิใจเป็นอย่างน้อย 100 ประเทศได้รับการรวมกันภายใต้ร่มธงของมวยไทยด้วย WMF & IMTF จากปีพ. ศ. 2538
มวยไทยได้รับการยอมรับทั่วโลกว่าเป็นศิลปะการต่อสู้และกีฬาที่สำคัญโดยมีค่ายฝึกอบรมและการแข่งขันในภูมิภาคต่างๆของโลก
มวยไทยได้รับการยอมรับจากคณะกรรมการโอลิมปิกแห่งประเทศไทย (NOCT) โดยได้รับความร่วมมือจากสหพันธ์มวยไทยโลก (WMF) สหพันธ์มวยไทยสมัครเล่นสากล (IMTF) และหน่วยงานระดับประเทศที่เกี่ยวข้องทั้งหมด
เป็นหน่วยงานทางการสำหรับกีฬาแห่งชาติ!
ด้านประวัติศาสตร์และวัฒนธรรมของกีฬาได้รับเสมอและจะเป็นองค์ประกอบที่สำคัญของศิลปะและกีฬา
มวยไทยเป็นมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมของประเทศไทย!
